The Valcavapass Broadcasting Antenna

The original antenna (136 m high) is located at the Passo di Valcava (1300m) between the Valle Imagna and the Adda River valley, in Lombardy.

The antenna is the very first model I made for Flightgear: at that time I was still learning how to use Blender.

The model below has been completely revised and prepared for FSX ...

The "Dosso dei Galli" NATO Troposcatter Station

When France puilled out from NATO ("La Grandeur" :) ) the alert radio chain, connecting US to Turkey, via Groenland, Iceland, Ireland, England, France, Italy, Greekland, was broken.

So the chain was rerouted via ... England, Neederland, Germany, Italy .... but Germany and Italy are not bordeing, Schweiz is in between ! So the need to make this Troposcatter link between two identical stations, in "direct view" of each other ! The German Station was located in the Schwarzwald, the Italian at the "Dosso dei Galli", at some 2300 m, near the Passo di Crocedomini and the Passo Maniva:

Dec 2012: 1st release, preliminary

LILQ is my first attempt to transfer in FSX the 3D models I made in the past for FlightGear: I hope to become more and more smart in the future ! The FSX version still has some bugs, like the giganting electric pole very, very close to the runway, which I'm still unable to remove ! In additio, I don't understend why the huildings must reside in a different directory, otherways they sunk in the terrain and loose hte textures !!

I should also add some trees, that peculiar maritime pines ! May be in the future ... now I'm quite busy with LIME, Bergamo Ori al Serio, my "Heimat" airport :)

Thanks to the precious hints of Vic Dabor (http://vicdabor.blogfree.net/) the Cinquale airfield has undergone a noticeable updating ... even if it doesn't yet includes the new Heli hangar and the new clubhouse repainting of last year.
By the way here the new release:

LILQ as of Feb 19th 2013: I think it's by far better !

So, it's time I start to upload something ...

Not right now ... may be I need a little bit more time: now just making tests !
